Changes for 2009

Small Changes. Big Impacts.

Invite your leader.

This year we’re coming at Leading Change from a different perspective. The Co-op has engaged with a reference group of emerging leaders to inform both format and content for our two days in June. From this emerging leaders lens, we’ll test approaches and take a few risks – all while keeping the elements that make Leading Change accessible to all.

We are again encouraging participants to sign up in pairs – emerging leaders and current leaders. This year, however, we want emerging leaders to take this invitation to your managers, executive directors, or even board chairs, and invite them to participate in Leading Change with you. Be bold. Bring them to your Leading Change!

 

You, us, and our communities.

An open space environment, particularly with this year’s theme, can be daunting. How will the many on the spot generated conversations bring us back to specific actions for you, for us, for our communities? We hope our further refinements to the Leading Change process will be informed by our university setting – where students dreaming big, exchange lofty ideas and become ‘ferociously engaged’ in the issues and concerns of the day. All this passion and exploration funnels into an eventual professional and personal path forward.
We’ll be structuring LC2009 with this in mind. By the end of our two days together, you will be able to not only answer, “How You Are Going to Change the World?” but what you can do, what we can do together, and how the Co-op can play a role in making the change we want to happen?
