Tim Beachy, M.A. Tim is the CEO of the Co-op. He has more than 30 years in the non-profit sector. Prior to founding the Co-op, Tim held the position of Vice President of United Way of Canada and Executive Director of the Community Social Service Employers Association of B.C. Tim leads the Co-op's Strategic Consulting group and works directly with many organizations that are undertaking co-operative and enterprising development.

David Duncan David is a senior executive former ADM in the ministry of the Attorney General, and CEO of the legal services society. David has significant expertise in managing large budgets, multi-branch operations and large numbers of staff and contractors. This public sector experience will appeal to boards and senior management looking to increase performance through improved systems, procedures, and stakeholder relationships. David offers valuable assistance in policy development, business case preparations, and operational efficiency.

Justin Ho Justin has a long history (both professionally and through community involvement) in the non-profit sector, including five years employed at Volunteer Canada in Ottawa where he managed several online and communications initiatives. Currently, he is the Manager of Business and Membership Development for the UCS Co-op. As part of the Co-op's Strategic Consulting Partnership, Justin provides marketing and communications consulting services, and in addition he coordinates secretariat services for the BC Social Economy Roundtable. Justin has an undergraduate degree in Commerce (University of British Columbia) and recently completed the Bologna Summer Program on Co-operative Studies at the University of Bologna.

Alison Marshall Alison has worked in the non-profit sector for over twenty years, mostly in child and family services. Her last two positions were at Family Services of the North Shore as Manager of Community Programs and Westcoast Child Care Resource Centre as Director of Operations. During the last two years of working in the non-profit sector, Alison completed her MBA with a strategic human resources specialty.

David Nanton, C.A. Dave heads our financial consulting practice. A Chartered Accountant with many years as a non-profit Director of Finance, his focus is on developing business sustainability, feasibility and focus, cost restraint and program enhancement initiatives, policy development, accounting and reporting systems development (including integrating systems when agencies merge) and building the business case for RFP?s.

John Neilson John leads our management and human resource consulting practice. His experience extends over almost 40 years and includes several years at the most senior levels of one of BC?s largest Crown Corporations and five years as CEO of CSSEA. Wayne Penney Wayne has extensive experience in the not-for-profit sector as a Board member and Executive Director. During the past several years, he has developed many business plans for social enterprise initiatives in non-profits. His expertise in this area is complemented by his background in strategic planning, organization change and development, multi-stakeholder consultation processes, and human resource management. He offers an integrated perspective to clients, to enhance the sustainability of change management processes.

She brings a wealth of experience to designing/facilitating consultations, community engagements, multi-stakeholder processes, conferences, forums, annual meetings, workshops and retreats. Kate has taught Community Development at Langara College Continuing Studies since 2001, designed the Co-op’s Leading Change 2005, and edits our Big Think Series.
